Ons gesin van 5 het heerlik oorgebly by Purple House. Die fliek in die nuwe "movie-house" was baie goed. Johan het ons bederf met heerlike bobotie vir aandete en die ontbyt was ook 'n groot bederf. Baie dankie Johann.

We had a very interesting stay at purple house. Had it all to ourselves for both nights, surrounded by artworks. Johan was never far away, always there to see that we were comfortable and not in lacking in needs. Dinner was out of this world, very healthily prepared and reasonably priced. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Our stay was a unique and colourful experience. Our host, a very friendly and helpful man that made us feel right at home. If we come that way again we will definately stay over again.

We had a great social evening at the Purple House. Nice break in a long journey! Definitely see Johan again when opportunity permits!

We stay at Purple House as a stopover on our way to our final destination. It was perfect for what we needed. The room was simple and clean with lots of art work to admire throughout the house. Johann is a good, friendly host and let us use the whole house even though we were just 2. Breakfast was very good.

Friendly though definitely funky, this old style house, painted fuschia with orange pillars, is a veritable treasure trove of art and objects, many for sale. The small town offers little light pollution for clear skies and star gazing.

We had a great stay at the purple house. Johan let us use the whole house, the kids had loads of space to play. He was very friendly and prepared us a lovely breakfast. It is quite an arty place, like Johan himself. He even gave us a little guitar concert in the evening. We will definitely visit him again.

We enjoyed our stay at Purple House Guest House. It was a welcome break after our long trip from Johannesburg. For budget accommodation it was pretty decent. The hospitality Johann showed was very pleasant and helpful. The food was also rather tasty. Thank you.

Very relaxing atmosphere, friendly host, good food. A historical building with lots of potential to become the most popular B&B in the Freestate.

The guest house is situated in a beautiful setting, surrounded by peace and quiet. The house itself has beautiful art and interesting items. The one area though that needs attention in in the preparation, serving and organization surrounding meal times. Only 1 salt and pepper shaker for all guests to share, no coffee or juices offered with breakfast and supper, kids not 100% taken into consideration with meals.
